Perth is blessed with stunning beaches, a picturesque river and oodles of grass, bush and parklands for us to enjoy. Meaning there are loads of outdoor wedding ceremony locations in Perth!
For those of you that know me, I’m a huge fan of having your wedding ceremony and reception at the same place. It cuts down on logistics, saves money and just makes it so much easier for your guests.
But I understand that this is not always possible within the constraints of your venue OR that for some couples, there’s a very special, sentimental place that means the world for them to hold their ceremony there.
Which is why I have created this jaw-dropping list of the most stunning outdoor wedding ceremony locations in Perth.

When people talk about hidden gems, the Scented Gardens on the South Perth foreshore is one that springs to mind instantly. Tucked away behind thick bushes, even many of the passers-by wouldn’t even know that this beautiful place is right there! The entrance to the Scented Gardens is through a vine-engulfed timber archway which then opens up to a full-enclosed circular space. Once inside the beautiful bushes, tall trees and flower-studded plants wrap you up, transporting you to another place and time. Include the proximity to the foreshore for photos against our city skyline, and this is one place not to miss!

As you drive past the entrance to this place, you would be excused for being a bit ho-humm about what’s inside. But DAMN…. enter the grounds of the Wanneroo Botanic Gardens and you will be blown away by the work and love that has gone into creating these beautiful grounds. With multiple levels, cascading waterfalls, lush tropical areas and tall palm trees, this place needs to be seen to be believed. Additionally, the thought that has gone into tailoring the layout and access to the two ceremony areas is impressive.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg…….
We are so very fortunate here in Perth to have so many beautiful, diverse and accessible spaces to use as ceremony locations for a wedding day. And as I firmly believe, when you have a stunning setting, you do not need to do too much to it to make it wow. This will save you time and money to redirect into other areas.
However, if these spaces don’t tick all of the boxes for you, most parklands in our suburbs are available for hire for wedding ceremonies. Just read the T&Cs carefully and ensure that you go through the appropriate channels to book your area.
Not sure which space is right for you? I suggest you start by finding your reception venue first and then looking for your ceremony location.
